Intro to Acrylic Painting & Beyond!

I will be hosting a series of painting classes that are specifically designed for those who are interested in learning to paint with acrylics as well as those who are looking for inspiration, want to try some new techniques or simply would like to paint amongst other artists.
Acrylic paint is a versatile and exciting medium that has gained immense popularity over the years. It's a great choice for beginners as well as experienced artists, thanks to its quick-drying nature, vibrant colors, and the ability to create a wide range of textures and effects. In these classes, you will learn the basics of acrylic painting, and also the techniques I use in my own work. I will guide you through the process in steps, to help you to create your own unique piece of art.

Each class will run similar to a workshop but will be more in depth. You take your work home with you at the end of class and you can work on it whilst at home also, if you feel confident and happy enough to do so.
In addition to learning how to paint with acrylics, these classes will also provide you with a creative outlet and a chance to connect with like-minded individuals. Painting can be a solitary activity, but it doesn't have to be. By joining these classes, you will be part of a community of artists who share your passion for creating beautiful works of art.
The classes are held in a really lovely room at the Somercotes Village Hall, in Somercotes, Derbyshire.
The room has good lighting and we will be limiting the class to between 8-10 participants.

Whether you're a complete beginner or someone who has dabbled in acrylic painting before, these classes will help you take your skills to the next level and inspire you to keep exploring the wonderful world of art.

Supplies are not included and you will need to purchase materials for this class.
Paints, a surface such as a canvas or a canvas board, brushes, palette, palette knife, etc.
A list will be given after booking so you can prepare for the class.
Coffee, tea, water/squash will be available and included.
